God, in His amazing ways…

When I was single but old enough to know better, I fell in love and got pregnant by someone that I knew I could not marry. Gorgeous, yes! Values, no! I cried myself to sleep night after night. I’ve never felt pain and shame like that before. You see, I was a Christian school teacher. What if the children found out? What would they think of their teacher who is supposed to be their role model? I didn’t think my life could reach a lower point. But God, in His amazing ways, used that pregnancy to help me lean on Him more and grow closer to Him. I realized that I could no longer live my life picking and choosing which of His teachings I would obey. I gave birth to a beautiful girl. My family still loved me. My friends still hung by my side. A man that I met and totally fell in “real” love with married me and adopted her when she was 3. What I didn’t know 23 years ago is that God had a plan and that plan was to bless my life with an amazing daughter and then to use her to serve Him. That girl is the creator of this blog site and God is now using her to strengthen and encourage others. Doesn’t He have an incredible way of turning things around? I have been truly blessed because IKH.

How could I do it myself?

For the past 10 years, I have been ministering to and feeding the homeless in Riverside, California. When I started, I didn’t have the means to feed and cloth myself well, let alone nearly 250 homeless people per week. I asked “How could I do it myself?” God spoke to my heart that by obeying Him He would provide the means through others, saying that anyone who joined me would receive blessings. Each week, the food provided was fresh and home-cooked. The sleeping bags, blankets, clothing, pants, shirts, jackets, shoes, socks and backpacks were all new and the best quality. Many were healed while I preached and set free from drug and alcohol addiction. 3000 people have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Because He’s true to His word, IKH.

How could God help me in this situation?

I remember back when I got into a major car crash that ended up totaling my car and my reputation. I was known around school as the kid that flipped his car. At that time I thought it was the worst thing that could ever happen to me. How could God help me in this situation? But looking back on that situation now, it might have been the best thing that ever happened in my life. God was pressing on my heart, that I needed to make a change. It turned me away from a bad crowd, and brought me to a more God centered one. It brought me toward God when I was running away from him. I thank God everyday for the crash. God works in ways unimaginable, ways that you would never see coming, but God always does work and IKH.

I remember screaming as loud as I could “Help God, please can you fix this please, Help me!!!” Then I saw the brightest, purest, whitest light, and I felt the most sweet, soft warm presence upon me as I heard a soft, sweet, matter of fact voice say, “Of course I can, I’m God” Oh how sweet and gentle, the greatest love ever experienced, I love to talk about Him. He is so beautiful and IKH.

My guitar stand melted…

After an intense night leading worship, I went to pack up my equipment. I noticed that my guitar stand was melted. Yes, my guitar stand melted- it looked like it been through heavy fire. I showed it to several people at the church and they were all in shock. Afterwards, I went to check out my guitar. I notice that my guitar was fine, no damage. Now that is a miracle. What is God doing!? I don’t know. But what ever He wants to do, it’s all right, He is God. Signs and wonders. Unexplainable I say. IKH

We had a provision miracle! While I was preaching and reading from the book of Deut 28 about the Blessing of Abraham, we had someone who walked in and gave us all at big box full of goodies from StarBucks. He said God told him to come down bring this to us. Pretty cool! God is supplying are needs. God is our source! Amen! IKH!

When I was little I used to have conversations with God while I wandered through the forests in my grandmother’s backyard. I heard Him speak clearly to me, in a nearly audible voice, and His love and guidance from those times still encourage me today. I attended a religious college and plan to spend my life helping others. Because of child-like faith, IKH.
